Basically it started when the first time I came here to United Kingdom, curious with huge building and people around me from all over the world. I was studied here for almost 4 years now, just graduated my degree and now finishing my MA fine art course, in University of Southampton. I was enveloped by lots of culture shock especially places that I have not seen before like Clubs, huge building, peoples around me and most definitely with the new art culture here. I was amazed by the big open door of new contemporary art world around here.
However, in my work, I am trying to relate with my personal feeling or my personal reality, being far from home country, family and any other my comfortable zone, illustrate into my art work. It started with the feeling of being small or significant person living inside the big city because obviously when the first time you came to unknown places, you do not have any clue about it and yourself being blend in by the surrounding especially the architecture of huge building, peoples and lots more of curiosity.
In my art project, I am using different type of material or medium or equipments as to express my subjective emotion and experience for my art work. It sort of like showing two different world or places that I been through; my home counrty, Brunei and also the second world which is UK. Perhaps, as an artist, I also included myself living inside the art world living inside into TWO realities; ‘the realities as realities and also the realities as my imagination or fantasy which most probably inside the uncanny work that Im living with.
